Im sorry to inform you guys... but ill be the poster child of to much power on dinky axles. Yep just popped my drivers axle... so much for tuning this week. it was bound to happen. now what lol. who makes strong 5sfte axles. maybe these were just old since i did beat them up with both 5sfte setups and the 3sgte. damn.....
i have some vids. you can hear the clunking and me saying to a buddy "i hope thats my axel" and it is. Hmm i didn't realize axles were that cheap i can get new ones for under $100 bucks. not bad. i guess i'll go pick some "life time warranty" ones from auto zone. ill just be accustom to breaking them every week. i got the axle situation out of the way for now. i just put auto zone lifetime warranty re-manufactured ones in. i think alota to do with these ones breaking is because they were warn and abused from the start or my car. I still wanna find some st202 ones or custom fabricated axles in the near future just in case. but i think these new ones will last a while. Thanks for the help guys.

because its diesel. no pun intended.
QUOTE This could be the most technologically advanced bolt on turbocharger available today. Capable of producing more than 500 horsepower at the wheels and able to run in excess of 35 pounds of boost. This Holset HX-35 is the only turbocharger available with a "Map Width Enhancement" groove. This groove is machined into the inlet of the compressor housing to allow air to be fed to the second set of blades on the compressor wheel. This increases efficiency and overall air flow by more than 10%. All Holset turbochargers come standard with a 360 degree thrust bearing. It being very easy to come by, (dodge cumins diesel trucks) durable, after market support (rebuild kits, parts) and pretty inexpensive used. -------------------- |

actually, right now the turbo is off the car along with the manifold and dp, im ceramic coating them and putting them back on. also i bought a large inline muffler because it was just way to loud for street use. once thats done ill try to get it up to DSG dent sport garage in Boston. hes been busy the last couple weekends with rally racing. soon though I cant wait to get it on the rollers.

QUOTE(95CelicaST @ Apr 27, 2007 - 2:11 PM) Any pictures of your exhaust setup as of now? I <3 side exit right now i dont. i'm pulling down the exhaust to take out one resonator and replace it with a big muffler. but ill still be rocking the side exhaust. ill take a few pics of everything when im done. Sick of having to shut the car off at stop signs when i see a cop, or throwing it into neutral when i'm driving around and spot a cop lol. -------------------- |

i get the torque steer in higher gears. i think that was just a little of 1st and 2nd lol. 3rd - 5th is were its ges fun because the turbo has more load on it to spool faster. like doing 60mph punch it and it to pass someone on the highway and it wants to pull you into them lol.

Two step is just a lowered rev limiter. but I have it cutting ignition like 400 rpm sooner than its cuts the fuel. so at 4200 rpm it basically misfires because of lack of spark all that fuel is dumped into a very hot manifold and ignites then spools the turbo. Sorta like anti lag but it doesn't retard timing.
I have it so its active only under 15mph for launching at the track or just for fun -------------------- |

asap, but before the dyno i need to put my new muffler in place of one of my resonators. the exhaust it just to loud and screams pull me over. so i dont wanna drive the car to Boston with an exhaust like that. this weekend i should get the exhaust done. and any time after that im down for dyno-ing.
unfortunately my friend who was gunna help tune the car, crashed his bike and broke all the bones in his right leg, collar bone, and i think a few ribs. I was also going to use his lift to do my exhaust but i guess ill just have to use 4 jack stands again to do the exhaust -------------------- |

they don't call it the heart breaker dyno for no reason It's tuned really well now. we stayed at 1 bar though, we think its best to keep it there for now until pistons. then he said just raising the boost 5lbs will bring the turbo into its prime and would easily make 400whp on his dyno. never mind a mustang dyno. hopefully the 14th we can get to number bragging dyno he thinks i might have alittle to much excessive blow by to risk raising the boost. Im not sure though, no oil vapor is in the blow by, there just alot of crank case pressure. nothing a vacuum pump cant bandage for now though. so now i might have to add a few piston and rod install pics into the mix. now its tuned for everything, not just WOT. -------------------- |
