Check out this turbo manufacturer out of Texas:

Not a bad deal for anyone who is looking to add some serious horses on a budget.

I'm curious about this, but if anyone has any time to contact them....then will someone please do so. I don't have too much time right now so I wouldn't be able to think of an informaed letter to write asking about their turbo kit, but if anyone else can and post it here or soemthing that'd be great!

It's true not much info is given on the site, but since finding good mods for the 6th gen Celica are so hard to come by in comparison to most other imports, I think every lead we find sould be followed up. If anyone has ever tried one of these turbos or has tried to get some info from them, I believe it would be well worth it.

By the way, if I would consider to put an turbo charged engine in a celica 1.8 model, would the frame twist? I mean the car is build to hold 120 horsies and now your putting 200 horsies in it. Wouldnt all the parts get damaged? They have to take much more powers then first.

Am I just stupid or what?

it's not made to fit the 1.8 liter engines
the 5S-FE and 3s-gte are 2.2 and 2.0 liter engines. The st's are the only ones that have 1.8's

OK, the general problem with putting a turbo on is that the Celica (non-GT4) is Front Wheel Drive. Generally manufacturers have been hesitant to put a lot of power into these sort of vehicles with the exception of Chrysler's new PT Cruiser Turbo which I believe has somewhere around 220 horsies. The distinguishing feature of the GT-4 is not only it's turbo but also 4-wheel drive. So ya, the ST's body would probablly more than likely not twist, but that's not the issue because this turbo is not built for the ST's 1.8 liter engine. Anyway, I live in Texas and as far as I know, if someone says that all turbos from Texas suck, that's a very broad statement as well as a bad stereotype, since Texas is freakin huge and diverse as hell.

If you read a little closer and know something about turbos then you would see that they do say a little about the turbo kits.. the ones for the Celicas are T3 turbos with delta wastegates... In other words... if you have a 3sgte then stick with either the single entry CT26 or the dual entry CT26 or CT20B that comes with it...depending on the gen and group.

REMEMBER... when it comes to performance... you get what you pay for!

I asked a question on celica.net about chasis torsion twisting for people that have done the 3sgte swap and asked if there were any structural differences made to the frame of the cars between the ST204 and an ST205. No-one could really give me a hands down answer to it. but one guy did say that there shouldn't be any problems with chasis twist. I have heard of story that a stock celica racing around a track had it's door light come on while racing because of chasis twist. It could be BS though.
