Hey everyone...I need your input once again. The question is what do I go with 17 or 18'' wheels, what is the most practical of answers taking in mind performance and looks? Please just let me know...Thanks!

I am not sure, I think it depends on what size tire you get also.

it depends on the size of wheel you get too, but usually theplace will be able tell you how much of a difference it is going to make. I know for one set i was looking at it only made about a 4 mph difference...

I have 215/40/18 tires and my speedo is off about 5-6 mph. So, you would have to have it calibrated. I didn't either bother because I switch to my stock 15's for the winter.

Some Rim sites offer an online tyre calculator so you can get
a bigger rim with the correct rubber without affecting your speedo
reading..........
As for the choice between 17" and 18"'s, 18"'s every time especially if your car has been lowered. I'd also choose a rim
design that gives a glimpse of your calipers and brake discs
(only if they're polished/ painted up though)

I live in the smallest state in America (Rhode Island) and around where I live, I'm the only one with 18's on a sport compact. Most guys do have 17's and that's not a bad thing, but I'm going for something to stand out a bit from the others.

17's if you don't want to hinder your performance by the weight of 18" wheels.

18's if you want a nice tucked look.

You will notice a decrease in performance due to the weight. I remember when I was still rollin on my factory 14's, I was hitting 16.5 to 16.6 consistently on the 1/4 mile. After I got the 16's, my time dropped to 16.9 to 17.2.

Now if you don't really plan on racing, I say go with the 18's.

EDIT: Those times are with a 7A motor, which just exhaust and intake.

I would go with 18's, i already have 17's and it does kinda seem like everyone has them. These are the ones I'm looking for.....
