Are you looking to do full coilovers with struts (like tein) or just the coil and sleeve (like ground control)?

For the most part its a b**** but it depends on how you go about it and if the old parts come out easy. I my self worked on an rsx type R suspen. from stock to tein big difference !!!! but i almost killed my self with one of the springs i was clamping it down to take out it out and put the new tein suspension in and it snaped at me it was funny and scary at the same time .... so if your going to do it your self make sure you have the right tools and maybe a friend or like you said your dad working on it just a friendly reminder ....

ps im doing a cheap lower kit right now .... i will go with a better suspension later

full tein suspension set-up is about a grand. But the best there is. You cant drop you car and not have a bumpy ride unless you do alot more then just springs or coilovers. It all has to work as one. Tires, shocks, struts, springs....etc.

I spent about $550 into my suspension in the form of Ground Control Coilovers and KYB GR-2 shocks. Honestly it was the best investment I have ever made. The ride isn't too stiff and I have never experienced them bottoming out. Ever. The Celi holds the road and looks good doing it.

If you don't live near pot holes or dirt roads go with coilovers but if you do like me i am changing over to tien s-tech lowering springs cuz the ride os too hard here in VT.

I actually live on a dirt road, and it doesn't bother me. Drive slow. I always do. wink.gif
