im gunna say the spirit of an old japanese racer manifests itself within your engine around 4500 rpm. i mean its the only logical explanation. other than that i have no idea.

It's your fuel map, it's got a nasty hole, that's why you're unloading in 3rd. Unlengthen the injector pulse another millisecond, just tune the NOS timing, you'll run 9's.

I guess the old japanese racer manifests himself im my engine too. I've noticed that too im my car, but it doesn't make a noise (unless that noise is just the RPMs climbing faster). Maybe it's just something programmed into the ECU. |

It is something with the ECU because this is something that sounds similar to the ECT power on automatics which controls the RPM.
Other than that you might not be keeping steady on the gas pedal and you are pushing it in more on those stomps. -------------------- 94 Celica GT

Yep. I noticed the same thing! I was like, "Holy crap! VTEC!" on the highway. Hint hint good for rolls. Oh yeah, it also has something to do with our cars being DOHC.
