This plugs still needs a home I have checked everything I need a st205 owner to verify what this plug is for??
This is the same plug???? I want to know why there would be a spliced line by the stock fuel pressure regulator?? FMU??? Another picture of this T in the fuel regulator line from the manifold to the T to the FPR??? I put the bolt in it. And the last question is to those with body kits did you use the factory black backing plate things when bolting this section together or just bolt the kit to the fender? Take a look in my profile to see almost complete 3s swap and new paint; the glass is being reinstalled on tues. I am also looking for the two folding pieces of the back seat that match my interior. Thanks Lance |

you sure your motor or harness is a 3rd gen and not a 2nd gen? the 1st plug looks like the cold start injector plug, and the 2nd one looks like the afm plug. problem is, the 3rd gen motor doesn't have either of these.

I know the engine is a 3rd gen for sure. It was a complete 205 engine and trans. I sold the air/water trans etc.
However the harness that came on the engine was completely destroyed. I bought a 3rd gen wrc harness from "roo" at bulletproof automotive. I have never seen a 2nd gen harness, and I don't know if a second gen harness would be compatiable with a 6th gen ecu. I have this one plug. The plugs in the picture are the same plug. I wired the car myself everything works and I have a code 54 tried bridging the water temp plug; but I think it has to do with the chagre cooler pump. do you know if this wiring is on the engine harness or the st205 body harness. i may have to bridge closer to the ecu anyone have more info? Also I know there are two more brown plugs by the bottom of the intale runners where the manifold meets the head I don't know where they go?? Ther are not injectors. I have searched for a place to plug them in numerous times. I think it has to do with the wrc's antilag system vsv. Any info would be great and thanks to all who have helped along the way. the engine runs strong it sounds powerful. i have not drove the car yet need to finish the suspension and brakes. ~Lance |

These topics are very useful for the Code 54 you are getting. I used the method that has the Relay/Light Bulb setup and works just fine. Hope this helps Lance.

did you fuse box plugs, plug right in or did u have to wire in the connectors from your gt harness to it? if it pluged right in, then its a 3rd gen harness, if u had to rewire that part, its a 2nd gen harness.

QUOTE(lagos @ Oct 27, 2006 - 8:19 PM) did you fuse box plugs, plug right in or did u have to wire in the connectors from your gt harness to it? if it pluged right in, then its a 3rd gen harness, if u had to rewire that part, its a 2nd gen harness. Thanks, the harness just pluged right in. I just found a diagram of a 5th gen and that plug does look like the cold start injector. If my harness is a true wrc I was thinking that it may be for water injection or something, because 3rd gens don't have cold start injectors do they? |

If you have the WRC model, you will have an extra set of VSVs behind/below the intake manifold. Is the harness from the same car as the motor?
In that area on a 3rd gen you have: Injectors, TPS, IAC, Manifold temp sensor, knock sensor and turbo VSV.... that plug looks like none of those things. Make sure they are all plugged in though! For the vacuum line to the FPR, get a correct hose for that (no T's or anything). It was probably plumbed to a boost gauge or something similar before you got the motor. -Charlie -------------------- 2003 Subaru WRX Wagon
