What in the world is a T-Sport Celica?
I hear a lot about that car in a UK forum. Is it sold in the US? Is it only for 7th gen? Or there are 6th gen T-Sports Celicas? Is it standard with a super charger? Standard with 6 speed manual? Someone please enlighten me. -------------------- |

QUOTE(saleeka @ Oct 27, 2006 - 6:06 AM) its basically the same as our GTS with the exception of cosmetic bits and the same output as the JDM SS-II... partially agree: T-Sport Celica is 7th gen SS-II Celica (T-Sport is Toyota's collection of sport edition cars. you can find also Yaris T-Sport or Corolla T-Sport ) see badge: but: It's not like 6gen Celica GT and GT-S matter. 6gen Celica GT and GT-S has the same engine and I believe more and more there are exactly the same cars. But T-Sport Celica is different than common 7gen celica. They have bit different body and difference in performance is writen below... 7gen Celica: HP = 143 (105 kW) torque = 172 N/m at 4200 r/min from 0 to 100 km/hr = 8,7 s top speed = 205 km/hr T-Sport 7gen Celica: HP = 192 (141 kW) torque = 180 N/m at 6000 r/min from 0 to 100 km/hr = 7,7 s top speed = 225 km/hr -------------------- No more replicas... This is evolution... This is SS-four :)

In Canada, 7th-gen GT has 140hp and GT-S has 180hp, so a T-sport is pretty much a GT-S ?

yea..the T-sport cars in europe are like basemodels, but upgraded. So the t-sport celica is a GTS with a bit different areo than here in north america. its different from the TRD Panasonic one. Just like the T-Sport Yaris is an echo hatch back, 5 speed, with a special grill, little bit lower than a stock, and comes with a almost JDM rear bumper with rear fog light and extra brakelights. I like the T-sport Yaris. I also LOVE! the T-Sport Corolla. I got a nice screen saver off toyota europe's website with the T-Sport Corolla.

The Celica T-sport pushes 189 bhp and, like the honda with their v-tec system, the 7th Gen has a second cam which kicks in like a mule!
They also put the same engine in the Corolla T-sport, too. My bro has the 7th Gen Celi T-sport, sis has the Corolla T-sport and engine feels good in both. (before you ask, I cant remember when the second cam kicks in). -------------------- |
