i just got a bumper painted yesterday from a guy's friend on a local forum. i had read a lot of good things about his friend's work so i decided to try him (re-painting a messed up bumper)
because the guy was doing it on the side, he couldn't really disclose where he worked... so i can't just drop by to look. how do you tell the difference between a paintjob that uses 3 separate sprays of primer/paint/clear vs those mixed all in one ones? how many days should i wait to check for things like orange peel/spiderwebbing and stuff? how else do you check for the quality of the paintjob? he's done a lot of work for members on that forum but they were all recently done so i have no idea of the long term quality.. so i just wanted to make sure he does gd work before i bring my celi to him thnx -------------------- |

oh icic thnx... hm... how about overspray (i think that's the word... where there's a bump or drip shape from too much paint?)... is it inevitable and a bit is tolerable? or should there be absolutely none?
actually.. nm. i think what it actually is is the paint was running... i think.. (yea.. i'm a noob when it comes to painting)... so same question.. is it inevitable and a bit is tolerable or should i get the guy to redo it>? If there is overspray, have him sand it down and start over |
