as many of you know, most tracks are opening up, most had their season opener around last month....well, it's that time of year again, post your quarter mile times!!!! also include your car information such as year of vehicle, what engine you have, mods, slicks or not, any forced induction, weight reduction, etc etc.....slips are not neccessary but are welcomed, enjoy....(if this has already been posted, i'm sorry but couldn't find any recent quarter mile times from all of you here) and if it was last year or 10 years ago, post your times anyways , I'd like to see the update on how fast everyone is, have fun...

If this thread is going to hold any truth. Time slips ARE required. Pictures and videos welcome.
That being said, I should be hitting the strip soon. I was thinking about sunday, not sure if I'll go yet. No BS this year only REAL numbers -------------------- I will return one day. |

You can go to staples pay like 2 dollars get it scanned, and then post it. I dont want this thread turning into a pissy match when someone posts an unbelievable number with out a slip to back it up.
Remember what happend not to long ago with a stock ST in the 16's If people could be truthful we wouldnt need slips -------------------- I will return one day. |

sorry, delete - i dont have my slips to prove it. /kills self. This post has been edited by Blakout16: May 9, 2006 - 3:15 AM -------------------- the 1/4 doesnt have patience for a ST.... so we make them ST-T's so atleast we'll sound good going slow.

16.112 in the 1/4
And if anyone thinks that's bs - I have slips to prove it and I will go to staples damn it. J/k - that time sucks and I know it. I have more real mods for this year though and maybe I can get into the 15's b4 I go Turbo. Check my profile for mods but this was over a year ago and I didn't have half of those mods yet. -------------------- |

im wondering, what would a swapped stock celica run in the 1/4 mile run?
what about a swapped celica with a turbo upgrade (let's just say any turbo)? im wondering about how well the celicas would do in the 1/4 too. it better be fast. i was watching some evos and some evos were doing 1/4 runs and were running in the lower 13s to upper 14s. -------------------- |

Ok let's see if I got this photobucket stuff figured out:
Note: This is not my best time but it is the best one I have in my car at the moment (yes I'm a ricer - I drive around everyday with timeslips in my center console - I'm trying to get help). You may consider this time my best time until I find my other one which I know is at my house cause I was showing a friend it a few months ago. This one is from the same night but it was my first of 3 runs. My last run that night was 16.112. A few things to note: 1. I had to overlay it on the other slip so that you could see the explanations of the times because for some reason they cut them all funny at the little box where you get your times. 2. This was Jan of '05. At that time all I had was a 2.5" intake, header and stock piping from cat back with a generic exhaust (no cat back). I was on stock rims with BFgoodrich VR4's (not at all good race tires) and I could get no traction and the wheel hop was scary. Now I have a SAFCII, full exhaust, 3" intake, full MSD package, Yokohama Parada Spec II tires, Sportline springs, etc. (see my profile for full mod list) 3. This is totally not stripped - I never even take the spare or the jack out of my car at the track. At that time I could not remove my 15" subwoofer easily so I didn't. Hell I never even empty glovebox, center console, or ashtray because I want my times to be realistic. My garage door opener always ends up in the back seat after flying out of that cubby hole next to the lighter - LOL - I wish I could see that in action. Pressure are you OK man? You seem pretty hostile over such a small thing. I think we can trust the majority of the people on here to be honest. Besides If I was gonna lie about it I would have said I was in the 15's so I could at least boast the stock time of 15.6 Edit: How come the picture didn't just show like on other people's posts? Can someone help me with this? I'm such aloser with the internet LOL. ::tried to fix it for you, the link will not work::: cant find your photobucket account to try and fix it for ya. i am fine. when jeff posts timeslips are required, there is a REASON. we are SO sick of these threads where people ask for times, and when some kid with an ST posts, "ohh i just ran a 16whatever" with no proof to back it up, and everyone starts flaming about how it just cant happen. well, this is the way to STOP that. thanks for posting your slip, i PM'd you about the photobucket help. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

Cool with me but maybe I'm too trusting.
Thanks for the help and understanding. 16.112 sux anyway. MY MR2 friends give me constant hell for it. Well Turbo should end that even though with the FWD I will still be slower than the Turbo MR2's EDIT: BTW - the slip above showed 16.545 - 1st run of the night. 2nd was a little better and 3rd was the 16.112. I'l try to get that one tonight and post it tommorrow after Pressure skools me on how to use th internet LOL This post has been edited by Negative: May 10, 2006 - 10:57 AM -------------------- |

Let us (HTC) know. We will go with u. And who cares about running the slowest time of the day - no one will laugh or at least you won't hear it. Actually there are many way slower cars out there then our Celicas that you can line up with and make yourself feel better with. Hell I'll run you - I always wondered how the verts stack up to the GT's and ST's. BTW - they won't let you run w/the top down - not even your window cracked for liabilty reasons. -------------------- |

I take it as you are swapped looking for those numbers. I'd expect low 14's unless you have some other major goodies to go with it. My MR2 friends run mid 13's and their mid engine launch will always own us FF guys. Good luck though. Please post you're times - I'd love to see a USDM 6th gen in the 13's still FF. As for the tires they are pretty good but I can still break them loose. I have not taken them to the track yet but they do well on the street. -------------------- |
