You need those clips. The shifter cable will pop off if you don't put the clips on. I might have spare ones. PM me if you can't find them at your local Autozone. -------------------- _Gary

yeah they probably come in different sizes. if you pull the pin out that you are supposed to pull out, I think it's the same size (you should check first) you can take it with you when you go. also, you could just re-use the stock ones.

(i have one bigger and i have one the right size but it could be smaller.. i really dont know) take a 12mm socket and push it over the clip, it should be able to help you put pressure on all sides of the clip simultaneously. -------------------- 94 GT - Sold -------- 69 Pontiac Lemans - Sold 88 Alltrac - Sold ---- 04 WRX - Sold 00 GT-S - Sold ------ 91 Miata - project/drift car 95 GT - Sold -------- 96 GT - New Daily Drive |

maybe try contacting TWM and ask them if they have spares they can send you? or ask them for the exact size?

i just installed mine last week, yes it was a punk to take those plastic cups/clips or however you'd like to call them, at first i tried taking them off without using a vice..take it from me--use the vice. and when i put them back on my new shifter, i simply lined up the cup/clip on the ground with where it has to clip onto the shifter and put a cloth over the shifter itself and hammered it in not using too much force but enough. And have you checked toyotaworld? Probably be hard to find a part so small but it's worth a try.
