what are these clips called? are there sizes for them? i lost both of them while installing my shifter mad.gif mad.gif . thanks

yeah, i got it out already. now im putting everything back on.. and i lost BOTH the damn clips to clip the shifter frown.gif are there any other solutions other than the clips? should i be worried that there is no clip there? safety issues?

STEP 5: thats what clip im talking about.

You need those clips.
The shifter cable will pop off if you don't put the clips on.
I might have spare ones.
PM me if you can't find them at your local Autozone.

yeah they probably come in different sizes. if you pull the pin out that you are supposed to pull out, I think it's the same size (you should check first) you can take it with you when you go. also, you could just re-use the stock ones.

k, i got the part. but its hard to install confused.gif im taking a break from trying to put it in mad.gif how do you put it in? (i have one bigger and i have one the right size but it could be smaller.. i really dont know)

take a 12mm socket and push it over the clip, it should be able to help you put pressure on all sides of the clip simultaneously.

maybe try contacting TWM and ask them if they have spares they can send you? or ask them for the exact size?

i just installed mine last week, yes it was a punk to take those plastic cups/clips or however you'd like to call them, at first i tried taking them off without using a vice..take it from me--use the vice. and when i put them back on my new shifter, i simply lined up the cup/clip on the ground with where it has to clip onto the shifter and put a cloth over the shifter itself and hammered it in not using too much force but enough. And have you checked toyotaworld? Probably be hard to find a part so small but it's worth a try.
