For those of you who don't know, there is a guy on celica.net who makes about anything you could want out of vinyl. Well I am having him make a kit that will make our stock tails look like the curren tails. If you are interested please let me know so I can tell him how many people are in. They will be no more than $20.00 shipped. Here is a picture of what they would basically look like.

is it blue bat??? if it is, hes a good guy, but i was a little disappointed in how his kit fit my car, it was on a week before i took it off... i felt a little ricey. plus light seeped around the outside of the kit, looked cheap... wait a sec... it was.

I don't think it'd look the same... for one thing, those curren tails have clear bottoms that are tinted/smoked... our bottoms are orange...plus the curren's black tint/smoke seems transparent...you can tell the glass is clear... the guy who used Blue Bat's smoke out kit has this solid, thick, grey blob where the white part of his taillights were.

i have a Curren with these lights (see profile), the tails look so much better than the pre-facelift j-spec tails and the ones on the usa spec celicas. it really brings a different look to the back, even the red plastic is a much higher quality looking plastic and the smoked part just tops it off real well too, esp in black wink.gif

yea... bat's kits... i dunno how they would work on coupe tails, but my hatch ones didnt work for ****. i mean seriously, think about it. how in hell can he make a 2 dimensional object fit perfectly onto a 3 dimensional object? i have no clue how he made the test pictures work of his stuff, it would work on any flat surface, but not so much on a curved surface. he's still a nice guy, but i just have no clue how he made anything fit on a curved surface. from far away it looked really good, but closeup it was horrendous. i've never looked at coupe tails closeup before, and if they dont work, your only wasting like $10. but i wouldnt buy from him again.

Believe me, it works - look at my old tail lights once again. it involves a lot of patience, vinyl and streching. its not the greatest picture, but i one peiced it and it was flawless.
