It was running fine and idled great.... untill about a few blocks from a gas station i was going to. suddenly i found my engine with a super low idle close to dying.

I noticed that my charger cooler is low on fluid.. do u think that the low fluid would cause a heat soaked charger cooler to be putting hot air into the engine, resulting in a bad idle?

I check all vac lines and they look fine.

any ideas on what could becausing a bad idle? should i take a look at the idle control???

how low was the fuel tank mate, not too sure on our cars, but my old renault 5 wouldn't start at all once until I changed the fuel filter so I guess it must have been really full of gunk out the bottom of the tank.

Its something called "Attack of the BAD GAS!"
So it looks like your fuel filter is clogged from your gas station, do u find your car stalling sometimes or dying out? Perhaps its time you went and replaced your fuel filter, but be careful those things are often a pain to replace since they require lots of wrench space and the strength of a gurilla.

it died out before i filled up so if its a cloged filter it would have been the low gas already in the tank

i just changed it too blah

i guess its worth a shot to change it again.

however it only has a low idle the rest of the rpm range the car drives fine

if u just changed it, then its not the problem.

whats your vac reading like? did you check your idle valve and the hose that feeds it for any cracks or leaks?

Sounds like your IAC came unplugged, clogged or died. Pinch the line going to it to see if it changes your idle... You should be able to pull it off, clean it and get it back working again.

must have been that cus it idles fine now after i drove it a bit. perhaps it got cleared out.

the way i see it, if it where the fuel filter id have a bad ride across the rpm line not just at idle right?

either way it runs fine now.
