okay i just had an alignment done last weekend. steering wheel is finally straight and car seems straight. i got my wheels re-balanced and rotated. i put on my old rotors because i think the fronts got warped. anyways i want my car to drive straight but it still drifts a tad to the right if i let go the steering wheel for more than 5 seconds...what is causing this. myth or fact about the crown of the road is slightly right and causes cars to drift? my gf's accord stays straight, why cant my celica???

yea most roads are a parabola (or how ever you spell)so that the rain slides off so it does have a slight curve in the road..

ya mine drifts to the right usually too, its the roads curvature, dont worry about it. but to make sure, take it to a road or parking lot that you know is relatively flat and see if it drifts.

yeah same here.. just got it aligned and it drifts right.. but seems it does even on flat roads.... so i'm wondering if the rear wheels are out of whack...

Our cars require 4 wheel alignments because they have INDEPENDENT rear suspension. So your rear alignment should be fine, jaws.

If you paid for a 4 wheel alignment, then they should have adjusted the rear, they WILL be out of wack even from just installing lowering springs. They might have charged you for a 2 wheel alignment, but as I said, our car's need 4-wheel so either way, I'd go back asap

QUOTE(tim86 @ Nov 2, 2006 - 12:50 PM) isnt 35 psi for low pro tires a little high? if you have a 40 profile I'd bring it down to 30psi. but if you don't drive long distances it should be perfectly fine. and as long as they are all the same it wouldn't be the cause of the pulling. I had my Kumho's at 35 and got bulges after long drives and had to replace them twice... but those were sh!tty tires. my 45 profile Falkens are at about 32 with no problems. -------------------- |

Your GF'S accord has probably balloon/high profile tire..they are less distrubed by road deformity...

i have the same problem, i just always figured it went to the right a little as a "safety" feature. for example, if you fall asleep at the wheel it will go into the guardrail before on-coming traffic.
yeah...retarded i know. -------------------- |
