On thursday night in the rain near quakertown, pa on I-78 i hydroplaned and slid sideways across 2 lanes in front of a tractor trailer, coreccted it then slid again and hit the cement jersey barrier in the middle of the highway...miraculously i hit at just the right angle where the impact was on the wheel only(no body damage thank god) but i'm pretty sure i bent the control arm and damaged the tire...drove it an hour home, seemed to drive ok for the most part but the tire is now rubbing on the inner fender plastic. all in all i was very lucky but i attribute the ability to save it for the most part to my autocross experience. Hopefully she'll be back together by the end of the week frown.gif

yeah jersey is jsut one concrete barrier after another!, your bound to hit one if you loose control. man you can never turn around in jeresy. Well hopefully not much damage to your celica, good luck on getting it fixed and glad everyone is ok

you got lucky on that one! i hate hydroplaning my friend did the same thing, where he hit the guardrail in his brand new infinity G35 and only hit the wheel instead of ruining the body etc.

well the front steering rack is definately out of alignment, along with a possibly bent control arm, strut and strut mount seem to be ok and the wheel is in a world of hurt...still has a small leak but its deal able until i get a set of tires this week
