The bondo was about 20 dollars, the fiberglass reinforced bondo is about 25 dollars, and those tubes of foam and also the tubes of adhesive are around 35 dollars each. Yes, Silver, I am getting them from a paint supply store, D & R Auto Paint and Supply to be exact .

QUOTE(maurer11sdk @ Jan 23, 2007 - 11:16 PM) Thanks.. keep up the good work im currently in the process of making my bumper and back quarter panel one piece its bein an asshole though!! well it was before i got this bondo hair stuff than i put regular bondo over it!! seems to be working very well actually!! I was just going to use the bondo with fiber in it to mold the bumper to the body but after talking with my dad decided to use the carbon fiber. He was concerned that with the rear quarter panel being metal and the bumper being that polyurethane material they would flex differently and that would cause the bondo to crack. With the carbon fiber being as strong as it is we are hoping that will be avoided. The other option was to use the bondo and grind a small crevice in it along the line of where the bumper and quarter panel meet that way any cracks would be in that crevice and wouldn't be that noticeable (kind of like those stress points on long expansion bridges). -------------------- We shall show mercy, but we shall not ask for it. |
