There was an SCCA auto cross meet today in Tulsa, OK and I went there.
It took h311 long to auto cross, but I was able to get some results. My best times were 63 secs. (4 laps) I had no grip at all time and went the wrong way on the first run because the cones were too confusing. Other times it was exiting and entering where I had no grip. A parking lot with cheap beaten cones just doesn't really cut it against the paved road where life and death exists. Ill post some photos later on when I can get it from my friends camcorder. |

i just can't get into auto crossing... i'd rather be on an actual track or driving a dangerous mountain road ... i'd probably even do pretty good at it but i just cant imagine the thrill of driving fast in a parking lot between a bunch of cones as beeing even close to the same.. just my opinion
if you can post a vid that be even better than photos -------------------- |

Good job auto crossing there Soul. I figure with that 4age it would be tones of fun. I hate running out of rpms with the 5sfe. But then again, I have torque to pull me out of the turns. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy

I find this more thrilling cause its life or death. |

Right next to turn 9 on the "BIG TRACK" which is the huge one on the bottom left, you could see that small white building. They have about 30 6gc celicas with a toyota paint scheme i think they use them for the driving school. Ill take a pic one day. I see a bunch of track days on my lunch break, and they look like so much fun! Its $120 with redline events i think. Once i get enough money and my car's running perfect ill give you guys my opinion |

I finally found a club here. To my understanding they run a half mile tri oval
a couple times a year here so it's not always just parking lots. At least here. I can't wait to try it. -------------------- JDM guy made me do it.
