My celica went nuts recently.. how's this for a crazy set of problems..
1) clutch gone completely.. 0-60 time .. almost 16-17 seconds 2) struts are gone 3) bald tires up front (and one is a wrong size 195/50/15 and the other 205/55/15 4) bad alignment 5) creaking ball joints This is one DEATH machine. Makes driving a nightmare. Haven't really been driving it.. but hopefully this should be a lesson to ya'll.. take care of your cars and don't let it build up.. lol SJ |

Yeah, i feel for ya....with my cars age and mileage, comes lots of stuff ill have to replace soon or in the near future-
1) CV Joint 2) Full tune up 3) Shocks are getting kinda beat... 4) Exhaust leak somewhere 5) Brakes are getting pretty shot 6) still all those fuggin dents from the previous owner.... Nothing too critical, but just stuff that i have to get around to fixing someday. -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |

Well I sent the car in on Thurdsday an everything's done (except the lowering) which I'll pick up on Monday night! So for the mean time, I've got a rental - 2003(4?) Ford Windstar! SUcks. But there's some neat technology in it.. Power doors.. and uhh stuff like that! Now for the body work, my kit, and rims! Stress.. Shaun |

since i got my car in september my clutch went out (had to actually tow it to a shop) and they needed to regrind the flywheel.
replaced the brakes a couple of oil changes my tires were so bald the metal cords were coming through my alignment is bad the car never stays on when first started coolant was so dirty it looked like oil cracked windshield (living in downtown L.A. sucks, damn haters) and my tranny grinds when i downshift from 5th to 4th! plus any other maintnence i need to do like spark plugs and air filter I think I win.... |

I think I have everybody beat. When I bought the car it had 186k on it. I got if for 2900, and this is what I had to have done to it.
New clutch New transmission (and it still grinds in 3rd. pisses me off. never buy a used transmission) everything on the axel redone shocks and struts front and rear brakes all new vaccum lines and seals on the engine new plugs and wires new distrubutor 4 new tires allignment brand new oil pan too(the old one leaked like a quart of oil a day) there is probably more I just don't want to think about it and get all depressed. In all 3500 after buying the car. And I am not done yet the interior is still messed up the seat is all torn up and the body has a dent on the side and a bunch of door dings. But you can only tell when your really close to the car. The last time I had any money was back about 2 years ago when i had an 89 camry, but it was worth it the car drives like you wouldn't believe now. Plus you can't go wrong with a 6gen celica This post has been edited by 94Toy: Jul 7, 2003 - 1:31 PM |
