Remember how I seemingly would always get away from disaster? Well my luck ran out.....today the brakes went out and I slammed into a Honda Odyssey.

Damage:

Front Bumper
Front Left Headlight
Radiator
Rear Right window wont go up (convertible)
Steering Wheel (Aig Bag Destroys it)
Windshield (Air Bag Destroys It)

I guess its my fault

Theres also a third party involved in front of the Honda Odysey (it was another Odyssey)

Any Comments, Suggestions, Help.....no extreme damage since I wasnt driving fast. Anyway it will be toward my fault....guess I should replace my brakes too.

Looking at the bright side..now I know what its liek to have the airbag deployed tongue.gif

(Anyone wanna estimate the price to replace everything....labor etc...and any legal advice etc?)

I had a similar accident a couple years ago. I rear ended an old Dodge Ram going at a low speed in bad summer traffic. Air bags did most of the damage. But, I had the same amount of damage as you but in addition, I had to get a new hood and right front fendor. I didn't have damage to my radiator, but to get everything back the way it was including everything was $4700. I had full coverage, so I ended up paying a $500 deductible for it. I would estimate your repairs with labor at a little over $4000. That sucks man. I've been through it. Good luck. frown.gif

Sorry to hear! Good to hear that you're ok!

If you're not fully covered, I'd suggest scouring the wreckers. I saw a couple fenders going really cheap on Ebay the other day. If you need stuff, let me know. There are tons of engine/body part importers near my place.

It shouldn't go that far. As long as you get a copy of the police report and you and the other driver exchanged info like Insurance and stuff. When you call your insurance company, they will contact the other driver's insurance company and get it all figured out. After all, that's what they get paid to do.

Well, if the damage isn't that much, it's a smart way to do things.

hey on the bright side you took out 2 honda's!!! WOOT!

by the way its california law that any accident over $500 in damage (basically every one) needs to be reported to DMV. So if any of the other drivers report it to their insurance or there is a police report it go's on your driving record and your insurance will go up no matter what, so might as well use the insurance company anyways.

P.S. Hope you can stillmake it to the meet, I guess your allowed to come celica or not.... smile.gif
