By now I have a ton of experience with the second and third gen 3sgte. My mechanical and electrical knowledge is respectabe, since I worked at a BMW dealership as a technician for three years(some of you know the difficulty of german wiring) and have done 2 3gen 3sgte swaps, and numerous repairs to 2nd and third gen 3sgte's. with my current financial situation, which consists of being broke as hell and just trying to get college out of the way, I was thinking about starting to do second or third gen swaps into st165-185 all-trac's and 3sgte fwd swaps into 4,5,or 6th gen celicas. I am searching around some forums about how much people payed to have 3sgte swaps done, and if there is a substantial amount of people that need or want it done, but do not want face it themselves. or maybe just modifying the wiring harness for them since that is the hardest part. So, how much did you pay, and who did it? and how many people are not comfortable doing the swap themselves?

DG Performance did my wiring, for about $350 or something like that, i dont really remember kindasad.gif but he did a kick ass job of it. There were no problems with it, no CEL lights etc... As for the rest of the work it did it myself. hope that helps.

if these guys are getting $350 just to lenghten the harness and change a few pin locations... I want in on this scheme!

I imagine you're thinking of the ST205/6th gen swap. That conversion is a lot easier.
