Hey i really want to buy a chip because i have heard that they really help u out and i need all the help i can get so what do yall think would be the best chip 2 buy and around how much would it cost?And what about those piggyback computer things they are always selling?

ight i got this one the local shop i go to u can get a chip for 210 an they GURANNTE 13-15 horsepower on the dyno or ure money back its only 210 installation i dont know it depends where u go

What do these aftermarket chips even do? Just advance your timing and increase your air/fuel? If your running stock, you probably won't see 5 horse.

POS stuff like that are guaranteed to work on high-end motors, not low end motors such as a 7A or 5S. You go ahead and buy it, then dyno your car. If you feel disappointed with the results, don't say that I didn't warn ya. GL. |

Yea man, I wish it did give 15 horse... but I really don't think it will.

Don't be fooled, its unlikely you'll get more than 10bhp with a Piggyback
chip on an NA car. Dastek/ Unichip have a site detailing the typical HP gains for the model of car you have. Chipping is only worth it (cash: horsepower) if your engine is turbocharged and the gains then go in the region of 25-35 bhp. |
