i saw teh trailer for taht a few days ago...and it looks pretty frikin sweet!
ive always liked spidey, hes a childhood hero

i've read some spoilers on the net basically stating that venom only comes in to the movie at the very end, setting it up for the 4th one. you'd think they would've been smart enough to introduce venom in to the 3rd one and not delay venom for another 2 years.

the coolest thing about venom is... venom.

it's just going to be parker in a dark suit being an asshole, so to speak.

its going to be awesome. i dont think anyone is as excited as me. ive read so much about it, but i dont want to say anything really. Mark my words. Venom will NOT set up the fourth film. He will get plenty of screen time.

Carnage is not a good villain. How many spider-man like characters are they going to put into the movie.

Putting venom into the film would create TOO many villains considering Sandman and Green Goblin 2 are both in the movie. The 4th will be totally Venom and a more in depth story which the deep seeded hatred between the two can be further explored. This is the right way to do it you just have to have the patience of waiting a whole two years. Thats the difference between creating movies for ppl who dont understand and want now now now and those who want to see a quality series of movies which Spiderman clearly is.

I'm a true spiderman fan, just not a fan of the direction that they take Parker in, I think he should loosen up a bit in the movie, perhaps a bit more dialogue & playfulness, just like in the comic books. Tobey leaves a lot to be desired, his acting is kind of robotic, if that makes any sense.

Doc Oc & Sandman are great villains, but I have never, ever been a fan of the Goblin. I don't know why. I understand the whole Harry Osborne connection & how it mixes in with the story, but I always thought in the realm of super villains he just wasn't that impressive.

Had they set up venom for the 3rd (as in, Topher Grace getting the suit in the beginning) and made Spidey 3 the actual Venom film, I'd be infinitely more happy. That's the patience part inside of me wanting more, not the anti-Spiderman.

It will be a good movie, but it surely won't be Venom, which is ultimate Spiderman Villain, IMO. It's Parker, but it's the exact opposite of everything he is, and he's just purely evil and a badass. To me, that's what makes a true villain - someone who is the polar opposite of the hero, the ying to their yang. Doc, Sandman, and Goblin are none of those, but Venom is the *perfect* villain. I honestly thought they were going to introduce The Lizard, since they had the scene with Conners in the film. But Sandman will be good.

I think Venom is the best villain also and theres parts of this film I'm not happy with. For instance introducing Gwen Stacy in the 3rd film when in fact she was Peter's first gf killed by Green Goblin. Or how Sandman is the actual killer of Ben Parker, wtf? Thats the type of garbage I'm pissed about, feels like they had to be so uncreative as to just say, oh he's the REAL killer. Thumbs down on that one. Oh well. But I think the 4th should be all Venom because theres so much history theres so much personal parts of peter that venom knows that I couldnt imagine them putting more than one villian in a film that this one character can fill more than one so easily.

Anyways, It looks pretty badass, hopefully Venom has SOMETHING to do in the film and not just the ending scene (which im afraid of).

Theres multiple lore surrounding Venom, these are the ways I thought he came in to play :

1) The symbiote was brought back from space, by J Jonah Jameson's son, who was an astronaut. In Spidey 2, Parker even went to the welcome back party for the Astronauts, which I thought was a good indication that they were going to introduce the way Venom originally came in to play

2) It infected Parker, Parker tore off the suit and it dripped on to Brock, Brock became Venom due to his hatred of Peter for something that happened at the Bugle. Thus giving Brock all of spideys powers, and knowledge.

Still, from what I've seen, it looks like this one is all gonna be Sandman, which means no Venom until the end.

Well thats not really lore, and #1 is incorrect. Spidey originally acquired the black suit when he was fighting the superhero wars on Battleworld. And he brought the symbiote home with him.

i dont think gwen's role is going to be big. just enough to show what the suit can do to someone...IE, cheating...I dunno. Everyone here except Super seems a bit uninformed.

Also, about the "new leads on your uncles murder" I think that the guy Peter beat up in the first one did in fact shoot Ben..but he was actually working for Sandman.

I don't think we will ONLY see Venom in the end...that'd be a cop out and they know that would piss everyone off..

Yeah your really confused. The suit that created Venom is the same suit that Spider-Man wore. Thats why Venom is a sorta evil spiderman cuz the alien took all the traits of spiderman and just transfered onto Eddie Brock.

It is solid in the comics, the movie adaptation has raised webbing. Basically his normal suit, but black, but comics, it's all solid.

spidey 3 looks like its gonna kick asphalt. i seriously hope it doesn't let me down. spidey 1 was barely okay for me. the second was awesome. i do, however, hate how they change the story a lot. probably one of the main reasons why i didn't like the first one was cuz they took out the web shooters. but looks they got the whole venom symbiont from peter to eddie thing right. they got everything they need from 2 and 3 to set up spidey vs venom, which makes me look forward to spidey 4 even though the third one isn't even out yet.
