I'm getting kind of tired of my ricy little muffler that I put on the car shortly after I bought it. I'm wanting something that looks completely stock but is a strait through design. Single or dual tipped, either way, as long as it looks like it came from the factory like that. I don't know much of anything about mufflers, that's why I ask. Thanks guys.

EDIT: Quiet is good too, but I'm not going to sacrific .01 of a hp for DB levels.

Get a resonator... but if you want a stock looking muffler... buy a universal that isn't a fart can... or a flowmaster or something.

I already have a resonator. It's a 22inch magnaflow. It helps a little. The muffler I have now is just a polished steel resonator. Do you have any recomendations for a universal muffler that is stock looking but has a strait through design? It's hard to find ones that are strait through that aren't the circular ones.

straight through=going to be on the loud side no matter what

but here's what i'll eventually get:

Vibrant Streetpower muffler

not cheap, but it looks stealth and i think it should sound pretty nice, too.

edit: my spelling ability deteriorates the later i stay up.

^^That is cool for street rods and what not, but the flat black is not what I'm after. I want something like that except prefer 2.25 inlet/outlet, and real stock look. I want the tip like it was a nice factory muffler. Not something that just sticks out there. The stock muffler on my GT was nice, I should have kept it. I could just stick a glass pack in it and there would be my new muffler.

Ebay ftw! I got a dual tip muffler off there for 24 bucks. It sounds fine, kinda loud but not bumble bee like.

What does ftw mean? I'm thinking of getting a stock muffler and putting a piece of strait pipe through it. I think that will be the cheapest and easiest way. So, I'm in the market for a stock GT muffler, in good condition. I know people have them too, they're always scrapped for after market pipes.

my 3sgte car still has the stock muffler that it orininially came with and it sounds fine.

althought the stock muffler isnt doing n e thing but hanging there..... my magnaflow race series is sitting under the drivers and passenger seat and has an angle peice which vents out the exhaust gas to the ground under the car.
