Just to be clear our 5SFE doesn't have a cold start injector and neither do many of the newer 5SFEs. You'll need to look for a CSITS from an older 5SFE or a 3SGTE. The ECU water temp sensor is what Lagos was talking about being interchangeable.

well i didnt know newer 5sfe's didnt use it. but that doesnt change anything really, just find an older 5sfe and pull the sensor on the coolant neck that is 22mm.

I blocked my cold start injector off complete removing it and the line from the fuel rail.. I have no issue on cold start up.. what I have an issue with is on a hot restart.. it'll take a few seconds of crankin to start or a tap of the throttle.

Why do you need it there to begin with?
Just to stop any sort of "techy" answer.. it's useless. It does absolutely nothing unless it's -40F out .. I even disabled it on my 5sfe and I had no issue at all starting that engine when it was 0F. It would have to be really cold for the gas to not be able to atomize from the injectors to need a 5th injector which sole purpose is to give the gas more time to atomize since it is further away from the cylinders. It's a worthless item.. Honestly.. unplug it and tell me if you ever notice more than a 1-2s cranking difference if even that. well, i like to have my car start first crank. when my time switch broke, i had a hard time starting the car (just like fastbird is having now) , so there is a benefit to having the system in place. since there is nothing to gain by removing it, ill keep mine.

I'm not saying to remove it. I built my motor and I decided to leave it out for simplicity. I still have my time start in place.. Just didn't want the CSI there.. just another thing in the way.
My engine still starts up immediately on a car start -------------------- 87 4runner DLX 22re, 5spd, 4.30gr, 4" lift, 30" tires, HID w/ Projectors, 6spkr + sub, custom exhaust, 94 celica leather seats, SR5 gauge cluster and clinometer. Future engine swap... possibly a 2jzge.
