BEST WAY TO LOWER?, BEST WAY TO LOWER? Options

I do not know much about suspension or lowering. What are some of the lowering setups that you people have and rate them for ride smoothness and handling. I'm looking for a decent drop (2-4+ inches)

Umm If you want to drop it that much, Which in my opinon is like SUPER SLAM low, You should go wiht a good coilover setup, they offer adjustable ride height, and still offer a a farely decent ride, im not sure about any camber adjustments with them, but im sure someone else should know somethin...good luck

i would say to get some koni yellows or kyb's and TRD springs.

by the way dont know if anyone else knows this but TEIN makes springs for 6th gens.

The lowest drop springs I can think of are Intrax which drop 1.7". TRD springs only drop and inch, but if you want a decent ride, go with springs. Like its been mentioned, coilovers will drop your car lower, but the ride will bounce like hell. Even with KYB's, it'll still bounce pretty bad... about as bad as lowering springs on stock struts. Koni yellows (adjustable struts) will provide the best ride with coilovers, but they're hella expensive. It's up to you...however much you wanna spend.

yea, i have them and i love them! all you need is the springs...

if you follow Mynzeyes' how-to it's very easy to install them yourself.

If you're gonna cut, don't waste your money on springs... just cut the stock ones.

i got eibach sportlines which give u a 1.5" drop...i didnt change my shocks cuz i dont have that many miles riding on them...but if you have really old shocks, then i would recommend changing the shocks along with your lowering springs...otherwise, your car will bounce a lot

if you plan on slammin your car lower than 2 or 3 inches then go with coilovers. GroundControls are best, and Dropzone are okay. Dont get ebay coils, cheap but not worth the damage they may cause. you also need camber kits. those will correct your alignment if you do plan on slammin it. also get new shocks, the oem shocks wont be able to handle any drop past 1 inch, get koni's cuz they are adjustable, or get kyb's cuz they are cheaper. and remember that the lower you go the more crap you have to put up with when you drive. Bumps, Potholes, Driveways..... you have to go slow on all of these or else you may scratch something or worse bang up something important.



I doubt that tien makes parts for our cars. if its a celica listing then its likely for the 7th gen, but it would be great if they made damper kits for our cars.

Here's my guide (no pictures) on how to install springs WITHOUT A SPRING COMPRESSOR, which is totally safe. I've done this several times without any problems:

So with Intrax springs and struts with under 50k should I be peachy? I decided on just lowering a little and letting the 18"s take care of the rest. I do live in WI where hills and what not are not the best deal. Anyways I found them for 175 on ebay. Good deal?? Anything better?
