Bolting in any of the FWD 4age's is fairly easy, It's redoing the wiring and getting the other essential parts to get the engine running is the difficult part. If you plan on keeping your a/c and power steering, you will have to make custom hose lines to hook up your a/c, as well as your power steering. You will need to get an external power steering reservoir with bracket and find a place to mount it on the passenger side strut tower area. You will also need an ecu, ignitor, ignition coil, uncut harness, and an AFM if you get a silvertop. If blacktop, you will also need an ecu, ignitor, ignition, uncut harness, and ignition coil. You will need to hold on to the map sensor that is being used for the 7afe engine because you can use it on the blacktop swap. As far as the exhaust goes, you can have an exhaust shop weld from the engine's flex downpipe to the mid-pipe(pipe where the 02 sensor is bolted to) before the cat. converter. You can buy a 4-wire bosch 02 sensor, wired it up on the harness, and replace the 02 sensor I mentioned earlier. For engine choice, the silvertop is a good engine with good high end HP. It would be better if you wanted to add a turbo due to the stronger bottom end it has over the blacktop. The blacktop on the other hand has a bit more power than the silvertop because of the lighter internals and you will be able to run ITB with velocity stacks or pod filters(Not recommended to boost due to a weaker bottom end). Take into consideration that both 20v 4age is both high compression engines and it would be a smart thing to replace the pistons to low compression pistons (which can be found on paradise racing, toda, or toysport). Another ownside to both engines is that you will NOT find any maintenance parts or manuals here in the US at any parts store!! You will need to find a source to acquire parts and it will be pricey. IMO, I would stick with a 16v 4age over the 20v. It wouldn't be too big of a problem to find replacement parts here in the US and there are alot of aftermarket parts for the 16v. I would get a 4agze over any of the 20v's because it can make pretty good HP and has more torque in stock form. You can always boost the engine because of the stronger internals, and you will also have a better tranny to handle the HP. Problem you might run is routing the intercooler and hoses from what I heard. If need help with you harness, contact Dr. Tweak at Phoenix-Tuning. He charges a good price for the conversion.

The engine bolted right in without doing modications to the engine mounts. And the halfshafts from the 7afe will work on the 20v's.
