Either Silkolene Pro race R 10w50 or Millers fully synthetic 10w50....wouldnt touch anything if it wasnt fully synthetic, wouldnt go thinner than 10w50 either

I use mobile 1 10w 30 synthetic and have nothing but good experiences with it, along with the mobil 1 filter. I'm thinking of trying royal purple this oil change.

the best filter to use is the standard Toyota filter, as it has a non return valve in it, and its usually as cheap, if not cheaper than other filters.

That's just wasting hp unless you are only on the racetrack with your car. The motor was designed to run hundreds of thousands of miles with 5w30/10w30 oil (or 10w40 in hot climates). Says so right on the oil filler cap! wink.gif

You have to remember that these cars are getting old now and need a bit of TLC....10w50 offers a bit more protectionn to the aging internals...but each to thier own, run what you want.
