Do you mean gt4 front end with 3sgte? ...or are you saying awd conversion as well?

QUOTE(Kage94celica @ Dec 12, 2006 - 10:40 PM) Depends how hard would it be to get the parts for the awd conversion? lets put this into perspective, out of the thousands of USDM celicas out in the worlds, a hand full (5to10) have AWD conversions (1 or 2 on this site)....its hell yeah easy to find the parts (figurativly speaking of course) the hard part is the custom fabing, and then the REAL question is, "How deep are your pockets?" -------------------- Kawi Love |

Well I am a metalworker by trade and have access to everything I need for custom fabrication. On top of that I have a friends garage I can access anytime and for as long as I want to.Because at this point in time he has given up his private business.
Now my real question is where would be the best place for me to find all the jdm parts I will need? |

Go for it if you think you're qualified for the amount of custom fabrication that is involved.

Miggy its Jeff at toyota world. Good luck with the car and welcome.
There is a lot of info for front end part #s in the stickys, as well as tons of engine swap info. The AWD part is very doable but expensive. -------------------- JDM guy made me do it.

http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=20644 http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=25346 and celiman05's AT200 to ST205 AWD conversion http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=30375 http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=34602 and when he sold it http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=42635 -------------------- |

for starters, it would be best to try and find a st205 halfcut complete with front body panels and rear subframe/suspension.
there's a company in TX that had the whole halfcut but i robbed it for its body parts and the rest was sold to someone else. they're called SuperiorTradingInternational.com and you can try to get a hold of them to see if they can import another. then there was another on ebay a few months back and a 6gc member bought it for around $5k, it was green and came complete with sideskirts too and rear subframe. whatever happened to that guy?? -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

QUOTE(Batman722 @ Dec 12, 2006 - 11:05 PM) If you really want awd, buy this awd celica conversion and save yourself the time and trouble. The one batman linked to is still for sale. Imo, conversions are a bad idea b/c the work will be all "custom" and NOT oem install -- so the quality will not be par with real awd cars. Also, if you have to replace a part, it is not like you just go to any auto store. This is part of the reason celiman is selling his conversion b/c it takes time and money to upkeep. So, i have to give conversions a Just do a gt4 front end = 3rd gen 3sgte, hood, bumper etc. -------------------- Past: V6 Swapped 6G Celica, E46 BMW M3, Jeep Wrangler TJ
