So I went to the auto-x yesterday. After I was done racing I tightened all my lug nuts and made sure everything was good. I used the car last night and it drove fine and everything was good. On my way to school this morning my rim decides to ****ing fall off and pass me up. I know my **** was tight last night before I went to bed. I have a feeling someone ****ed with my **** last night. Now I have to do MORE bodywork on my car. Im not happy. Plus I have a 125 dollar tow bill!

Sorry to hear that zach. I hate when people mess with my car. Specially like that. I'd hate to have someone loosen my lugs and have my tire fall off it screws up a lot of stuff on a car. good luck on finding the person and getting that stuff fixed.

haha Your gonna tell me I messed it up? I think not. Im a mechanic and I know for a fact I torqued the lug nuts after the auto x yesterday. The way the wheel came off and the way the studs are unharmed someone had to have loosened them. All 5 lug nuts came off with the rim at the same time. When I saw the rim hit the curb I saw all the lugnuts fly out of it. Im not stupid when it comes to my car.

Don't get all pissy, we're throwing out ideas. If you didn't want ideas then you shouldn't have posted.

Im not exactly in the best mood. And your post trying to tell me it was my fault didnt exactly help. You want to pay to fix my car for me? If you pay for it you can tell me anything you want.

A properly torqued lugnut shouldn't just arbitrarily come loose like that. If you didn't snap the studs or strip the studs, someone messed with your car (provided you had the lugnuts torqued tight enough).

Look at it this way, it could be worse. You could've been doing 65+mph on a highway, had that happen, and then been in some REAL trouble. Sorry to hear that though, it sucks when people have nothing better to do than mess with other people's hard earned work.

Your exactly right Fastbird. They were torqued correctly at the track after I was done with my last run.
