This is my second "car tread topic" (first exterior here), now about my interior changes... My second thanks for yours posted comments. Enjoy
Two and half year old pictures of pure stock interior. First change were new SONY CD player,... ...sport pedals... ...and window tint. Then long, long way to current gauges look I have always tried illuminate everything in combination blue/red (because glow gauges and CD player has red illumination too)... ...to harmonize whole look. My first idea was make replica of SS-III interior (same like exterior is). Unfortunately that would be unreasonably expensive (seats, climates, gauges, red stitched everything... see this), so I decided make small compromise: complete black leather style interior... first result was leather steering wheel cover,... ...clear door light cover... ...and branded door sills. I know not celica ones... (but still looks good ). Now one "future" plan. Genuine black stitched leather SRS steering wheel (just leather cover no more) and genuine black stitched leather shift knob... both coming really soon (btw they are from MR2, so if anyone incensed at Curren door sills must be enraged now for sure ) That all so far edit: future is now again cuz new st. wheel is installed QUOTE(ImportChick95 @ Dec 17, 2006 - 7:05 AM) Love your upgrades. Don't forget to change those brown floormats. ...and no more brown floormats . Now Celica branded genuine ones: And another mods coming... edit II: ...like another gauges and DCW gauge pods... ...and gauge cluster illumination change no.5: And it seems like finish line to me... so far This post has been edited by malpaso: Mar 19, 2007 - 2:30 AM -------------------- No more replicas... This is evolution... This is SS-four :)

QUOTE(malpaso @ Dec 15, 2006 - 8:17 AM) just curious, we north american 6gc owners have the single knob on the driver seat which raises or lowers the rear part bottom seat (close to the back part).. what does the first knob in the front do? raises the front part of the bottom seat? btw, nice thread -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

Excellent organization of the thread. I relly like the way you put it together. I'd like to do a diary of the total build of my car. I have kept pictures of all phases organized pretty well from stock to restored to modded. [3 year process - 1st year was just maintenance that wasn't done by the original owner. Last 2 - 2 1/2 years has been modding].
Three problems with this: 1. I'm by no means done with the car 2. I don't think I could organize it as well as this thread 3. Who would care besides me anyway? BTW - do they make those door sills that just say Celica? And do they go over the stock plastic ones or replace? Edit - Just noticed your stock radio/dash trim has a different cut around the radio with a different pocket then mine and others I've seen. You were actually able to use the trim that comes with the radio [around it] - Nice. This post has been edited by Negative: Dec 15, 2006 - 10:19 AM -------------------- |

Martin - i have real SSIII seats what are laying all ove my garage - and im gonna junk them pretty soon If you want them - i can leave them for you or just take the cover out from them All i would need is just another back seat to switch my SSIII one out - and you would haev the real SSIII interior
Another thing - i have SSIII wheels - what im going to sell too - cuz at first i wanted to make them my winter beater wheels - but i desided what my Babe wount be seeing winter Third - i think soon enouth i will have the SSIII steering wheel for sale too - custom reupholstered in black leather / black alcantara + red stiching all they way and red stiched toyota logo on the Airbag. Its totaly one of the kind - cuz im going to upgrade to MOMO steering wheel pretty soon. And on Ebay there is a SSIII cluster what is going somthere in 120$ range - check it out And P.S. Some one should save the money "for the big upgrade" and not blow them on small upgrades -------------------- Ex celica owner - just a guy from other side of the pond...

no kidding? My old Celica-Supra had that. Why did we get screwed out of everything in the states from AWD to turbo to beams to 3S in any form to fully adjustable seats? WTF?

To azian_advanced: It's exactly as DSRT-FX described in his post Gerald.
p.s.: Thank's for help Rom, I would never find proper words for that To celiracer: I just removed those green condoms off bulbs and painted numbers on cluster with red To doGGy: Don't forget Romas, my budget was ready for more expensive project than "big upgrade" is . I can spend a little . About those parts, hope some of them will stay in your garage (and also some Euros in my budget ) till we meet To snapshotgt: Don't be afraid Collin. I use my current airbag make it complete and will be installed in my friend's celica (after some bonus in CZK for me of course ). That silver celica in last two pictures from first post here. To Negative: Of course they made "CELICA" sills... ...but price is double or even triple (e-bay experience) + you must be lucky find them. p.s.: please, please, please respond my last PM, thanks This post has been edited by malpaso: Dec 15, 2006 - 4:11 PM -------------------- No more replicas...
