Just wondering, does anyone on here know of any convertibles that have been turbo'd or had the 3S-GTE conversion?
My friend wants to build one but wants reference points.
thanks

a member, jgreening, had a 3sgte in his vert. He sold it earlier this year and i dont know if he visits the boards anymore. You can search for his topcis by name though. He was very knowledgable about it.

Besides my old car, there is two fifth gens and there is also a convertible MKII MR2 that has the 3sgte swap in it somewhere in Europe. There are a few 3sgte swapped spyders too.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Would i be correct in guessing the 3S-GTE conversion for a 'vert is the same as that for a Hardtop?
What issues are there for strengthening the chassis?
thanks
