Thats true. Narrow tires gives some better grip on snow and ice. They still are using some narrow spikes on the rally cars at snow and ice.

Narrow and skinnie tyres can easily grip and claw on the ice surface.Sometimes rally teams are using spikes on their tyres (it depends from the level of the snow).

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

It's all about weight distribution. You're putting the same weight on a narrower contact patch. More pressure per square inch (not talking about air inflation here). Those'll work real good on ice. wink.gif
