I talked to him the day before for a good ten minutes about how im going to the Coast Guard Academy etc.. i think they may have helped Gimme ten minutes and ill have some pics up of the car at the park with the swap project officially done! EDIT: PICS!! ^PS: i painted that building two summers ago Gloucester Harbor^ Oldest seaport in the country with the car legal i can say the swap is done, started in May when i drove to Tennessee to get the car and the 3s and working all summer and then occasionally while ive been home from school. Ok well i made the two hour drive to school with no issues at all!!!!
It made me pretty excited to have the car run safely and reliably without any incidents. I picked up one of my friends at TF Green airport outside of providence RI, and while i waited for him i managed to put some of the interior back together so i guess thats the current progress. I also managed to swing by and see Dustin (Batman722) and show him the swap This car is going to be fun |

January 6th UPDATE
Just finished installing the GReddy Oil Catch Can i got and it think it looks pretty good in there. but i still think my engine bay needs some work.. its ugly.. any ideas to make it look better???? I want to polish the aluminum peices, is the valve cover the only aluminum peice I can polish? (if i am even correct assuming is aluminum...) Also some engine pics and pics of the ART intake as requested more updates later when i finish putting the interior back in PS: cleaning up those wires will help.. LOL it was an intake made by Art (Lagos) So i just call it the A.R.T. Intake as if it were acronym QUOTE(zCelicaDude @ Jan 6, 2007 - 3:01 PM) whoa I like the gearbox insert you have there, does it fit 2 x 2" guages?? if so where did you score that from, cos thats cool! Its a DCW custom product, and it fits two 52mm gauges which i believe are the same as 2" inch gauges. I'm not sure how easy the availability would be on this, I had to make a special request to get one. |

UPDATE
I finished installing all three DCW gauge pods as well as all 6 pro-sport gauges (only one not connected to a sender is the oil pressure) I also spent the better part of the day putting the head unit in and all the interior panels below the dash. Dustin (batman722) can tell you how empty it was here are the pics!!!!!! and with no flash to show them glowwww It actually feels like a car now with the interior back in.. oh god it was depressing with no CC, head unit, glove box, etc etc.. but now its all back together This post has been edited by jcbass7: Jan 6, 2007 - 8:41 PM |

the interior looks awesome!
looks like the intake was a perfect fit too. if you want to clean up the engine bay, paint the exhaust heat shield and the valve cover, with some high temp paint. if you can, look into powder coating them. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

Thanks Yea the intake is great! Nice work on the welds Can i polish the valve cover? I'd love for it to be all bling and shiny. I think once i get rid of the top mount inter heater I think it will clean the look up a bit. that and if i can organize the wiring and lines etc.. just too much clutter right now.. I'm gonna remove the AC once i get the correct belt and parts. |
