which gen of eclipse? a turbo is a turbo, the 14b or t25 they use would be fine for the 7afe, you'd need your own manifold. also an intercooler is an intercooler, as long as it fits that will also work.
you'll need fuel management, larger injectors, larger fuel pump, a wideband O2, all to start with. -------------------- |

Thanks a lot guys -John John...yes u can, dont listen to some of the comments, however i dont think it would be worth it. First thing u would need is a custom turbo manifold for the turbo ie: log style manifold with the the t-25 exhaust flange on it. Also along the lines of custom work, you would need a down pipe and intercooler piping (both of which Dave could do for you). Next issue is fuel. You can get away with just upgrading the fuel pump, but I would deff suggest adding larger injectors as well as some fuel management system along with a good tune. Next on your list would be oil feed and return lines for the turbo, stock t-25 lines from a 2g eclipse would work howevewith some modifications but i would suggest SS braided lines. A rough guess on how much this would cost ya...not including the t-25 smic from you friend and bov...anywhere between 1k and 2.5k dollars depending on what kind of deals you can get through friends. If you are serious about turboing ur 7a I can send you some links where you can get cheap materials to build your manifold. So there you have it...if u can find the parts and can get someone to do the labor for around 1500, i'd say do it. But when I was gonna turbo my 420a it was just a nightmare. My on this , you u can't make it under 1500 on this project, either swap in a silver top or save for the 3sgte...or simply sell the celica and get some rwd, lol. That was a joke, but if you need a help pm me This post has been edited by OrbitalGT95: Dec 28, 2006 - 11:37 PM -------------------- Now SR powered |

it would work yes with a fair amount of work....but a T25 turbo is just plain SMALL for a 7afe

I have a small 14b turbo on my 3rd gen 3SGTE and I love it. At 7psi it'll walk all over the ct26 and at 16 psi it'll dust a ct20b. Later on I plan on swapping over to the small 16G, which will be a bolt on replacement for this turbo.
Oil and water lines were around $125. I bought a greddy knock-off manifold (ebay special) and had it modified for the t25 flange - that cost around $450 - with me cutting off the stock CT flange. The stock mitsu O2 housing is really easy to mate to the stock Celica exhaust - just a couple of flanges and section on mandel bent pipe. Of course, finding a manifold for the 7A is a lot more difficult then for the 3SGTE. -------------------- Scott

You can but you would have to customize. Not worth it in my opinion unless of course they're in good condition and free. BUt you would get tired of the power and crave more. BELIEVE me...even my 600 HP Supra started feeling slow after a few months. Just save money and get a 3S-GTE.
