how do i install a water temp gauge like were do i run the wires to?????

you have to tee it off from the factory water temp sensor otherwise your going to throw codes. The factory temp senor is located in front of the distributor, right to the left of the valve that has two vacum hoses going to it. This is assuming u have a 5sfe. I will get pics of my setup once i get back from work tonight.

thanks man and yes i do have a 5sfe i would really apprecitate them pics... i got a gauge for free but nothing to tee it of with wut shuld i use?

this gets complicated if you dont understand the difference between compression, flare, and pipe threads. I used brass fittings from my local Q.P. ACE.

My set-up. Its all about finding the right fittings. But like i said, you have to understand flare, pipe, and compression threads.

sorry to bring this back from the dead....but mind tellin me what size fitting u used?....im having trouble finding something liek this for my water temperature guage:

the ones on my temperature sensor has a hole in middle and it looks somethin like that ^^^^^

got some thigns from the hw store...found out the thread size for the water sensor is 1/4"...my setup was similar to yours but MUCH MUCH taller..jus cleared the hood..... laugh.gif

great guide for ppl who wanna install without the water temperature sensor adapter from greddy....ive went with this route because my water sensor from the OBX guage is too big for the greddy, thats why i went with hitachi's setup....
