Been having a rough Idle for awhile. Can't seem to find out wth is wrong. Im also idleing at 900rpms somewhat high for a 7afe I believe. Also engine rev's back and forth alot of the time 50rpms from its idle.

Ive redone the plugs, Rotor, changed oil of course, check vaccum lines (not big cracks anywhere), Air Filter. Distro Cap hasn't been replaced for a year but that doesn't affect rev does it? I check it it seems clean and no damage.

My car has alot of Miles 175k. Maybe Leaky Valves etc. This guy seems to have my same problem. Rougher Idle when braked, and AC.

Also is what Bitter said on the Transfluid is that safe? Anyone back that up?

Anything else I forgot?

Ive check the forums via search didn't seem much expect the usualy what I listed above.

I had rough idle on my car (3SGE engine) and bad mileage which you seem to be having judging by your other post - have you had the Lambda Sensor (not sure if you guys call it that but its the thing that meause air fuel ratio just after the cat) checked? Changed mine and all was well - worth a shot.

ATF wont help the rough idle.

your rough idle and low milage however are likely connected.

Low Mileage? I have 175,000 Miles. Thats quite a bit IMO.

Also to add to the list of things ive done are O2 Sensors, and Reset ECU, checked timing with a light about 3 months ago, was fine.

So your saying the ATF won't help? From what u said on that pervious post, if I have leaking seals witch I believe I do. It wouldn't help at all?

Anything else that might cause this?

low fuel mileage.

your rough idle and low fuel mileage are probably related to whatever work you last did to the car.
