Just tried to record for the first time with my digital camera (Canon Ixus 50). File is about 16 megs (1 round Apricot Hill). It was just to try and see if it came out good (not the drifting skills smile.gif ) So give your input, about the quality if its acceptable. Backgrounds noises are from the wind, its storming here!

Video Here

This was recorded at low settings on the camera but I want to record it on high (640x480) and then compress it to Divx/Xvid codec on the PC so its remains sharp and small size files. Does anyone here know the correct tools/programs to edit/convert/compress the avi files. New to video editing smile.gif

BTW the World Rally Car is a real bitch to drift. It just has amazing grip even with Simulation tyres and 425 for 80 procent at the back wheels. Also it seems like it has some 15 inch rotors and 10 pots calipers installed laugh.gif laugh.gif . Thing stops like crazy.

lol. maybe ya gotta go easy on your brake balance controller. but i find the 6gc ain't that drift friendly compared to other awd cars like the evo or something.

The ST205 is a bit more friendly comparde to the WRC version. Has less grip so you can feel when it tends to loose its backend and balance the throttle/steering to take a good drift.

The WRC however has 2 sides, it has grip or it doesnt have it biggrin.gif. So when it goes you already have to know it is going otherwise your to late and have snapoversteer or spin around.

BTW I drive with the VCD at 10% now. Gives more power to the backwheels and with the Brake balancer on 3 Front and 8 Back its almost perfect for power/brake oversteer. Now I only need a few laps to tune the suspension and I am ready to go smile.gif

one little question when u guys drift do u do it with the ps2 controller or with a steering wheel and pedals? which is easier to drift with? drifting is so hard to learn in that game lol cuz i cant get thru the corner fast enough

great drift vids biggrin.gif

I do my drift with the ps2 controller unfortunately frown.gif . If I had a GT wheel I think it would be alot easier since it gives a more natural feel. To drift, I depend more on tires and suspension setup over HP. The stiffer the suspension to the front and a bit weaker in the rear makes it easier to go sideways when taking the corner at high speed. And the tire is where I get my grip from for control when going in and out of the corner. I go fast till I see the bend of the corner, tap the brake and steer into the corner, feathering the throttle while holding the shift lock button (L1) and right at the exit of the corner hold full throttle and control steering.

Thanks Shin. I've uploaded 2 other vids today. One is the gt-four on Mid-field reverse using the grass to break traction to the rear tires smile.gif The other is my white on white st202 celica on Autumn Ring Mini. Both cars are same spec as previous cars posted earlier.
ST205:

ST202:

So these two 6gc's is the cars i'll use for the battle. I can't wait smile.gif

Great, you just picked a day when I have to work from 6-23 and then go to a collegue of mine to have a mini lan/game party all weekend long smile.gif

So there little chance I can do anything then. Unless I take my PS2 with me and drift all weekend long biggrin.gif

oh the event will be a full day. so everyone will have a time to post up their video so doesn't matter if it's morning or night.. as long as it's posted on that day it's all good. wink.gif

i think i'm at the final stages of tuning my celi.. i was thinking 424hp ain't enough for it to faint drift properly.. it's like when i start faint drifting.. it didn't have enough power to pull to the other direction.. so i just increased it to 480hp and gave it a stage 2 lightenin.
