As u see I need to find out if the engine that's on my celi is the one that she was born with smile.gif

one good way to find out is to match the vin # on the engine with the one on the car. If ya dont know the vin# on the car you should be able to see it by looking at the windshield.

Can anyone in the US confirm that we have that?
I've never seen any VIN plate on these engines.

BTW, that picture is funny.
A 6th gen with 1st gen 3S.
Look like it's from a manual too laugh.gif

I just confirmed it. I have a 95 st and I can see the VIN plates right next to the exaust manifold.

That pic in the illustration above is a 3s motor. Your 5s vin should be there too.

Yes, but that is 1st gen 3S. No 6th gen Celica comes with 1st gen 3S. wink.gif
My car came with 3S stock and I don't seem to find any VIN plate on the engine.
Also, I have not seen "engine VIN plate" on my older car.
Manny has my old engine, I should ask him. I'm pretty sure they are original engines.

Thanks every1 for your help........but I still cant find the damn number on the engine.......can any1 post a picture of an 5sfe where we can see exactly where it is......thanks.
