The MAF Translator Gen 2 is made by a company called Full Throttle Network and is basically used to adjust and monitor AF. My friend used a vehicle specific model (MAF Trans. Gen 1) for his DSM, and it worked great. I did a little searching and found a second, universal, model and decided to try it. The instructions tell how to hook it up, and how to adjust the settings, but does not really give a point to start from.

My question is: has anyone tried this before and does it work? And if so can anyone help me out?

I e-mailed the company but their responses are often very slow, so I figured I'd see what I could find here.

yes. i looked into it and even contacted the company that makes them. they told me that they would be willing to make a version of it for the 3sgte, but that it might take a while for them to do so. that was over a year ago. i doubt they made any progress. send them an email or something asking about it. if they get more requests, then maybe they will get up off their ass and make one for us.

Has anyone tried to use a maf off a newer toyota? It would be nice if one would work. They are so much smaller. Ill have to look into the differences between the two. Its a long shot but sounds like a good idea.
