They cut into the snow, thus having more grip then wider tyres. Especially in the front. And those tyres have a fair amount of spikes in them wink.gif

^^ more pressure per square inch as the car has less surface contact to the ground.

Of course. The WRC was used all around the world. The road going WRC version was also sold very limited numbers. Krammetje has bought one a few months back.
