Well, basically, it has been a long long time since i have been on 6gc.net, I apologize for that. I hope everything is going smooth and nobody has sent a letter bomb to another member out of anger. rolleyes.gif

Anyways, thought i would drop in and say hello to the old buddy's, Coomer, Kwanza, etc. etc. From just skimming, i see that a lot of celi's are biting the dust. Oh well.

Well, here is my story about the great white celi. No, i didn't wreck it (now come on people), no, somebody didn't t-bone me (did you see in the paper's that somebody died from a tire-iron-swinging-mad-man, no, i didn't think so), no, it wasn't stollen (havn't been any crazy sniper reports in the papers, confused.gif , what are you talking about, it wasn't me), actually, my celi, this has nothing to do with it, because i don't own it anymore. and for last, NO, i didn't sell it.

I'm sure everyone heard and saw the news about the huge snow-storm that came through the mid-west and left a freaking 4-6 foot blanket. Well, my happy-a$$ woke up the morning after that hit and was ready to go hunting, vehicle of choice, dad's 1996 Jeep Cherrokee Country Edition 4.0 HO. So, I wait for my uncle to clear grandma's drive with the tractor, and i decide to go get some coffee. Long behold, as i'm driving out of the gas station, i noticed a guy carrying a huge bag in his hand. I stopped and asked if he wanted a ride into town, he said he abandoned his car 4 miles down i-72 under a over-pass. Being the nice guy that i am, i decided to give him a ride.

So, i get him to his car, pull him out of the little bit of snow that was plowed into him (by the way, this is the morning after, like i said, and only 1 piddly lane had been plowed through I-72, it was so slick and tiny that the semi-company's told the semi-drivers to stay put at the truck-stop). He takes off, and i get situated and get going my self, i'm driving 4Lo (for you jeep owners out there you know why and what that is), i'm going along, fairly slow, and all the sudden my front right tire cetches the lip of the snow that was plowed. I do ONE 180 so fast it wasn't funny, and it was fast enough that when my driver side tires hit the lip, i started flipping, not once, not twice, but three times, and full flips at that. Went from Wheels down, to top, to wheels, to top, to wheels, to top, to wheels, landing in 6 feet of snow. Here is where it gets better. I had my driver side windows open (i was smoking), and after i stopped rolling, i $hit you not, i had so much snow inside my jeep, i couldn't see the steering wheel my hands were holding on to.

So basically to make a long long long story short, well, shorter, the roof had caved in far enough to hit my head and give me a small concusion, but that's all (It's a Jeep Thing laugh.gif ). After calling my dad and telling him all the details, here is the responce i get. "Well, looks like you Fuc*ing screwed up agian, and this time, because you wrecked my jeep, i am taking your toyota, (click)"

So, that's that. Meaning, i moved out very quickly to pittsfield illinois to live in the same town as my fiancee, an hour away from home - not far enough, and i struck lucky and got accepted and hired to be a manager at S.S.S. oil company (they own all the jiffy stops in springfield illinois, st. louis missouri, and everything inbetween).

Anyways, what's new around here?

Does he hold the title? Family or no they would have to shoot me to get the Celica. LOL.
Glad to hear you're ok. Get another Celica and start over. There are still plenty out there under 100K miles (usually in PA for some reason?).

My head is fine, i'll just never forgive my dad for doing that. It isn't my fault there was almost 6 feets of snow on the ground. And heck, he's the one that taught me to be a nice guy.
