It's a pity that nowadays you need a lot of useless crap like tvs, game consoles and sh!t in your car to make it into a magazine. A good amount of extra clean elbow grease doesn't get you as far as it used to.
No offence to the show car guys/girls. That sir, is absolutely stunning. -------------------- One o'dem crazy Canadian freaks, eh?

QUOTE(Kwanza26 @ May 7, 2007 - 7:37 PM) Bravo Chris... Aren't you glad you didn't sell it? Definitely. I finally finished breaking in the clutch the other day and I've had some time to drive the car hard. It pulls pretty well and seems to be running well. It seems laggy on acceleration when I free rev the motor, which I can't figure out. If I uncap a vacuum port in the shared vacuum chamber then it will rev instantly...but then the car bogs down severely under ~50%+ throttle situations when moving. I can't figure it out. I haven't been able to check is mileage...but hopefully it's good...just gotta find funds to actually fill up the tank. The clutch stopped chattering/shuddering and now feels great. It's still incredibly difficult to steer the car at low speeds. I need to find a manual rack that will work at some point...no power steering on a power steering rack sucks. But I'm really happy with it. A lot of people see it and can't believe it runs because there's so much room. I had some car buddies over last night (hardcore VW guys who know a ton about motors and fabrication) and they were impressed and had some good ideas for me. I'll have to shoot the car soon...it's got some new goodies since the last photo was taken. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

Hey Chris, are you still running into bogging issues at partial throttle? I seen this and thought it might help out but I don't really know for sure:

The final parts for my bay came in Saturday. I got a new fuel filter with -6an connections and the required extra fitting I needed. So today I got them installed.
I'll do a full photoshoot shortly, so more pictures will be on the way. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

The looped-lines-with-breather trick that works for all the Honda guys does not work for me whatsoever. have you thought about using an elecric powersteering system? electric ps conversion I've been thinking about using those Mr2 electric power steering pump system for a while. Just haven't had the time to actually invest in it. |

Looks very clean! Good to see some original ideas once in a while, I think they call it "out of the box" thinking.

Oh, and by the way, my car weighed 2,520 lbs. with a spare, jack, my sub, enclosure, two amps, about 40 lbs. worth of loose stuff (blanket, laundry, detailing stuff, camera gear) in the trunk, and almost no gas.
I should weigh all the stuff I took out of the bay and see how much it weighs next time I go home. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

Sweetest looking ST celica on the forum IMO By the way Chris, where did you get the TRD sideskirts again. I pm'd you a long time ago about it and accidently deleted it when I cleaned out my pm box. I'm looking to put the TRD sideskirts and Hatchback-style 2-post spoiler on my celica when funds are up again.
