I'm not a newmember or anything, but I just decided that I want to add HP to my '95 GT automatic vert. I'm just curious about how much HP I can get, how much it will cost, and what I'd have to do. My engine bay is stock except for some generic Pep Boys intake I got after my air box broke kindasad.gif . It's not even cold air! But anyway, I'm just looking for suggestions and possibilities with my celi, thanks!

Ahem, I would have thought the great minds at 6gc.net would jump at the opporitunity to have input on the development of what's soon to be the most sexy vert in the world! I guess I was wrong...

Sorry man, but future sexiest vert in the world position has already been filled wink.gif

Ok but seriously, it all depends on what your HP goals are. For me, im not trying to go for a lot of power, but i want a little extra oomph. The reason being is i want my car to be able to remain a daily for me. If you plan on making much more power than you already have, then turbo is the way to go. 3sgte swap, or turbo your 5sfe. Full 2nd gen 3sgte swap will cost you in the $5k range. Turbo 5s would be about the same if done right. People have done it with a lot less money though. If your wondering how much HP you can get? HP is never limited, it's money and imagination thats limited.

Well I'd rather it be a daily driver, but I want enough power to beat all of my friends' newer cars that happen to be all stock, but still pretty quick. I've been thinking about going turbo but I don't know how or what exactly I would need and if anybody in the Jonesboro or metro Atlanta area of Georgia would be willing to help this summer when I get home from school.

ahem...

Why go there? give the topic sometime to sit and people will view and help if they want. bumping with an "ahem" like you need to come first... Theres plenty of talk and other posts about engine swaps, whats included, how much $ and hp gain. Since they covered you here on price here's the how to's...took a couple minutes to search,

http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...23187&st=20 (presure2's)
http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=5574

Plus Dr. Tweak....

And any swap will still leave you with a daily driver as long as you put the correct quality parts into it. Good luck on whatever choice you decide
