only thing i can say is that because the housing market is down, the rental market is up. when i moved into my last apartment, i was paying 550/mo. a friend of mine moved into the same complex (i no longer live there) recently, and he's paying 625 for the same floorplan, same floor, same building.

most apartment logic is common sense, but if you can find a mid-level apartment that is just outside a major city, run by a bigger managment company...you should be able to do ok.

good luck apartment hunting, it's tough. smile.gif

my car payment is $250 not $500 lol. But my car insurance is $256 (thanks to a wreckless driving ticket I got in 2004, which wont drop off my record till 2008) So I was just adding the 2 together ($506)

I have been asking everyone I know if they need a room mate NO ONE does so far frown.gif, my friend zack who I have known since high school lives alone in a two story house & I told him my situation but he said "sorry, i like to live alone, no roomies for me but i hope you find something smile.gif "

woooo! what are friend for.......... tongue.gif lol

The tri-cities has a flooded market and you can find
a decent one bdrm for about $450.00 a mo. My rent
went down at my old apt. from 465.00 to 435.00. Buy
a house, your credit doesn't have to be that good.

lol....morgage payments are like $500 to $1k+ depending on how much the house is worth...not to mention utilities and homeowners insurance, along with land taxes.....

honestly your probally looking at 1.5k to 2.5k a month for a house (depending on location)

there are traffic lawyers that can take that off your record. I got speeding tickets before and I pay this lawyer to take care all of it for $40. I don't even have to pay the ticket! very awesome. Except he can't handle my inspection ticket...

Mine was 100k 30 year 6.75 fixed, insurance and taxes are paid in my
payment 865.00 mo. around 150 in utilities. No downpayment and my credit
isn't great. I'm sure it wouldn't be that cheap over there for a 3 bedroom house
in a decent nieghborhood.

In Boulder a few years back it was 1,200 a month for a small apartment.

Then out here on the plains it was $450.00 a month for a thousand square foot place with a fireplace and all utilitys paid minus electricity.

But my house is 3,000 square feet and I pay 800ish for the mortgage. And unfortunately $300 a month for utilitys until we get the insulation and windows finished.

Come to vermont, we have cheap living up here. In Burlington you can find apartment from 600-1000...and thats the city, come out like 20-30mins and you can rent whole houses for just over a grand w/4 bedrooms. Pretty cheap living here if you can make it, its a long haul tho
