Exhaust leak from headers..., How do I fix this? Options

Ever since I got my HP headers put on, there's been an exhaust leak. I even replaced the manifold gasket with a new Toyota one. I can smell and hear it, what's the best way to fix this? I'm pretty sure the gaskets from the headers are all there, but keep in mind some of custom fitted. Any help is appreciated.

Were you able to locate the source of the leak? Is it leaing at the flange?

Yeah, I thought it was coming from where the O2 sensor was, but it may be the flange directly below it. After I got my engine polished, I could actually see the smoke coming out of one of the flanges . Just wondering if there was an easy 'fix it' or if I should just take it back to the shop. Appreciate the help Ray.

it proly needs to be welded (holein it) or isnt bolted up tight enough.....

That's what I was thinking... or there might not be an o-ring b/w the flanges...

I realize it's "header", so calm down "yuo". It's a Celica site, not a grammar correction site. I also didn't ask if yours leaked, I asked for help on mine. I don't understand why you even bothered posting, you contributed absolutely NOTHING to this topic.

anyway...contribution...

check 'round the o2 sensors. did you weld an extra section of your O.G. downpipe?

if so, check that. who welded it? you? or pro's?

it's definately not a prob. with HP headers, as mine is fine. even transplanted from the old engine to the new one.

could'nt just two pipes in the header be called headers... there ar four of them in one.. iunno

I call them headerS... why? Slang... habbit... just got used to it...

This is similar to how I remember to my mom, while talking to friends, as momZ.

But WHO CARES... header... headers... it doesn't freakin matter... we're here to talk about issues. Unless it's obviously difficult to understand someone, I see not point in correcting someone's spelling / grammar. If you understand the person... then good... just let it go.

like...it'd be slangish and still educated if he was like :

but...

"hello friends. i'm experiencing an exhaust leak from my 4cyl engine's headers..."

not a big deal. but, still.

I still probably have more checking to do, but it almost sounds as if one of the gaskets is vibrating against something. It's not too bad, but it bothers me...i know you guys understand. Gonna have to go the rounds through the flanges. Yeah, I did have someone weld a couple inches of the old piping to compensate for what's missing, but I don't think that's it. Whatever it is, it sounds very local to the engine bay. Thanks for the help again guys.
