Wha is the body like? Does it run good? Anything aftermarket (that would increase the price)?

I would say 10-11K would be a fair price for a stock good cond gt-s.

EDIT: check the FS section, there was a few cdn celi's to compare to.
welcome to the forums!

Bought mine for 9k. 140k kms, stock, no rust (and I do mean none, the car was so greasy lol), passenger side was dented, looked like it was used for a wall at a golf driving range, pretty clean interior, no rips, engine takes a bit of oil when driven hard, stock wheels, dead tires.

Most ones under that price range begin to be pretty crappy although you can get lucky. Your best bet is to have it inspected at a Toyota dealer. It's a pretty big bargaining (sp?) chip. My guy brought the price down 2k when he saw the inspection.

if it's in good condition with only minor dents (dents are almost unavoidable), no rust and mechanically good, i'd say ~ $9,000 - $10,000.

are you looking on buying one? or selling one?

Mine was 5500$. I wouldn’t pay more than 10 000$ for a 13 years old celica, unless it had very very low KM on it.

er... my 98 cost 11k CAD after taxes and everything... 10k is way too high...

it really depends where in the country you live... usually cars in BC cost more than in ontario and quebec... actually... i think quebec and ontario have the cheapest prices... but the worst condition cars

when i was looking in 2005... a 94 cost anywhere from 4k-8k... for a stock and in good condition... i'd say between 4-6k... but like i said depends on your area

Except mine is auto really wish i bought a stick though.

Why are celicas way more expensive in CAN than in USA?

It also depends on which province you're in. Different places will have different prices due to the local market and availability. It was damn hard finding one here in Manitoba. smile.gif

uh.. celicas aren't the only car more expensive in canada... you know that if you go to the states to get a BRAND NEW car right now you could probably easily save about 20% after taxes/duties/whatever else needed to bring it up

but well.. one reason is that USA has about 10x the population (thus probably 10x more celicas than we have) and because car prices in canada have not adjusted to the large change in the exchange rate in recent year(s)

in Canada, celica's are being sold at a rather high price. but in reality, most people will not want to spend so much for an old 90's car.
i assume the high prices is due to the mintiness of the vehicle and the rarity of these celicas in Canada.

btw, i got mine for $6000 at a salvage auction with a minor front end accident but in "brand new" condition with 90k kms otherwise with all possible options...

also, dealers tend to sell them pretty high (as expected) but if you're looking to sell this privately, the expected price should be around $6k-$9k depending on the condition and kms.

cars are always more expensive in Canada. alot of dealerships are buying cars from the states and selling them up here at canadian prices.

Also depends on where in Canada. the west coast is the most expensive.

I bought mine for $8k in horrible condition and 110000miles in 2004. I've gotten an entire paint job with all rust/dents removed and repainted a pearl white... it looks awesome now. I don't regret what I paid, it's hard to find one for that price now, usually they go for like $9k+... so yeah

got mine for $4500, needed about $800 to safety it, including a new windshield... I'll have to replace the doors because of rust, but other than that, it's in pretty good condition! After replacing the doors, GT4 hood and bumper, raisers and skirts, paint job, it will have cost me around $9-10K
