Crank or cam sensor?
The Celica 5S never had a crank sensor.
It only uses the dist for cam timing.

The Camry had a crank sensor in the 97 ^ I believe.

i believe it's a crank sensor it plugs into the oil pump. and my 96 manual (toyota BGB) specificly states crank positioning sensor and i don't believe that'd be wrong but hey it might. anyways that doesn't change the fact that i need one.

94-95 BGBs don't mention a crank sensor. 96-99 BGBs all say that the 5S has a crank sensor. I have to admit I was under the impression that they didn't have one either but all four books mention it.
