my car is making a wierd noise. when i first turn it on in the morn, idles around 1800 for a few min, then when i drive, if its over 3500ish rpm, my car makes a high pitched whine/squeel. me and my mechanic friend looked at it but we couldnt figure out what it was without taking anything apart. anybody have any idea? oh and it appears that it has to be in gear for the whine/squeel to happen. if its in neutral or if the clutch is it, it doesnt make the noise. thanks

What gear or gears? If it is in all gears no matter what speed then your input bearing on your trans is out.
