Kicker L7?? Options

Kicker L7
anybody got one of these in their car, or heard them before?
i heard they are loud as ****!
im thinking about buying one 12' soon, so im just looking for thoughts.

It is true they are loud not that deep but loud. I personally dont like them anymore b/c of the **** I went through with mine. It will knock hard in your ride though.

Kicker is meant for SPL. If you just want BASS to rattle your teeth out then this would be perfect. The bass will probably be somewhat distorted (compared to a SQ sub), but will hit harder.

If you like your MUSIC to have bass (classical or sometyhing where bass is not the "main" thinig) then you should look for a sub with good SQ ratings.

It does hit hard, I've installed L5's before, they are just a little too much for me, I like the conservative bass with good sound quality. Most of all, I wanna hear my music.

man u need to stick with that type r... the quality is so much nicer... l7 will be louder prob, but it doesnt sound as good

if all you want is loudness... then get 2 l7's and a ported box... u wont be getting all the loudness you want out of 1 sub unless its JL and you spend a lot. Then again you ask which l7 sounds better, when everybody knows a type R sounds much clearer and has awesome bass... but you being new at audio, as i once was and still am, you need to just do what you want and hear the diff urself...

the 15' dosent hit the high notes to well...its jsut mostly pure low....i think i need a capacitor for it perhaps to get rid of some of that disortion

try that for a while.

guys think the kicker manufactures box would sound better then that aftermarket one?
