Can the above be done? I was told that the 3ltr camry engine will slot straight into the 6th gen celica without altering engine mounts or anything? Or very little modification anyway. If its possible what bhp would and could they put out or would i just be better off selling and getting a gt4 to save time and hassle??

lots of info in the two forums linked at the bottom. 3 of the mounts work (gt mounts) however the passenger side mount needs to be fabricated. expect around 200hp depending on generation and lots of low end torque smile.gif if i were you, id get a gt4 since you can.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

since you live in a country where the GT-4 is available, i would 100% without a doubt say sell for the GT-4.
you will have a much better platform on which to mod VS a normal gt chassis with a swap.
AWD is where its at compared to FWD.
but like celicast said, yes, it can, and has been done.

ftmfw???

On an import site i just checked, what looks an immaculate, slightly modified gt4 its 4000euro shipped from japan to dublin....by time vrt-d(import tax) and customs you'd be looking at 7,500euro...cheap gt-4 compared to other prices in this country..

guess thats around $10k, don't know the exchange rate
