Trying to fit my skirt and its really a toughie. its an invader skirt. I cant make it stick into the car. Huge gap, something seems to be preventing it from fitting into place. Probably the door area, how do I use the heat gun to make it fit and mold it into place?

theres buncha ways to bend fiberglass with a heat gun...i prefer to heat it from the inside (backside) of the skirt adn wait til it gets soft but not soft enogh that the fiberglass will melt...and then jus slowly bend it to your liking....

any1 else got any more tips?

Fiberglass does not become soft like plastic does!

I taped my side using a heat resistant tape. This way, my paint doesnt get scratched up. Then I tried fitting it again. It fits but it had gaps, nasty gaps biggrin.gif it seems that the top part of the skirt that goes inside the car isnt fitting well. It's hitting the the body part of the car. So i heated it inside to a point that its semi soft
and forced it in there. when it stucked to the car i just heated areas and forced it to bend BECAREFUL and use gloves... IT GETS HOT... very hot!. This worked ecause the area that I did this in is thin. If you are to try this with a thick piece, its not gonna work as well. Also, if you want the kit to stick permanently used industrial glue if you dont want it molded. I will be taking a pic once I get it painted biggrin.gif
